Album Notes

Man it's been a long time but it's finally here! Thanks to God, my family and the many fans that supported me throughout this album project. Thanks especially to Robert Metzgar (Hall of Fame Producer) for believing in my songs & the musicians that really brought it to life.

Nashville guitar great Kerry Marx who was also the session leader has played for such artists as Johnny Cash, Blackhawk, Elton John, Roseanne Cash, Shania Twain, Wynonna, Ronnie Milsap, Jerry Reed, Billy Dean, K.T. Oslin, Amy Grant, Prime Time Country (TNN), The Grand Ole Opry, NBC & many others. He plays some of the best lead guitar that's came out of Nashville in a while on this album. You can tell from the mood he sets with his guitar that he was having a great time recording this album with the other musicians.

This album is dedicated to two of my biggest heroes in the world, my big brother, Tommy Hawkins, and the greatest man to ever play a honky tonk song, Mr. Waylon Jennings. Gone but not forgotten.

Great abum. My only idsappointment with the mp3 download is that it does not include the composer credits so I have no idea if the artist is the songwriter or not.

One of the best CD's I have heard in a long time. Is very hard to pick a favourite, they are all so good. Some grab at your heart and some get yours toes tapping. Can't wait for the next one.

For a first CD, this is a delightful shock. Shades of Waylon, George Jones, and Merle Haggard...Overtones of Alan Jackson, there is nothing here not to like. Freight Train is reminiscent of the ever famous Mule Train, but my favoriates are "I Broke My Own Heart" and "It Won't be Me". I'm expecting great things from this young man!!!
