The first single on the album, "Thought I'd Be Home By Now," is one of Jimmy's finest recordings to date. The song which describes the journey of an individual as he discovers who he is and his quest to make it and become somebody. It is a song that has great potential and has been released to mainstream, internet, and americana radio stations around the world.
The CD also includes some songs that Jimmy has always loved and sang such as Waylon Jenning's "I've Always Been Crazy," Gordon Lightfoot's "If You Could Read My Mind," Martin del Ray's song, "Lillie's White Lies," and Hank Williams, Sr.'s "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry." These songs are song with such professionalism, yet a raw natural sound in Jimmy's voice that only he can pull off. It is obvious of the experience he has in singing and it shines in his cover of these tunes.
He also has three songs penned by Canadian artist and songwriter, Lorn Wolf. "Daddy" won the award, 'Single of The Year,' for Jimmy in 2012 for the Independent Music Network in Los Angeles, California. This song also aided in the accumalation of another award, "Best Male Country Vocalist," for 2012 with the Independent Country Music Association in Nashville, Tn.
So, sit back and listen to these songs. All are great and worth the time it takes to sit and listen. Enjoy yourself and get ready, because for Jimmy, the ride has just begun.
