Album Notes

(Believe it or not, the guys in Jimmy's Comet honestly think that you are going to care about them. They know that they may be a bit naïve about certain things, and they know that you're very particular about the music you'll listen to. Nonetheless, they are currently making plans to release great recordings and put on great performances the world over. They are rehearsing, talking, dreaming, collaborating, writing and thinking. They are hearing symphonies in their sleep and are being distracted at work by thoughts of continued success. They're even going shopping for rock star outfits. It may be up to you to put an end to this reckless behavior. Call them and tell them to stop, please. It may be harming their chances at landing middle management positions in the future. Please call them and tell them to wake up . . . . unless you think they might not be dreaming.)

(Here are some facts that might help to explain their hopelessly optimistic behavior:
-Jimmy's Comet formed in 1997.
-Their second album, bye I love you, bye., released in the fall of 2003, has received a lot of positive attention from venues, radio, and the media. This has them convinced that it's their "ticket to the big time."
-They were recently crowned 2003 champions of Madison WI's Isthmus Magazine's annual Band to Band Combat.
-They've played major venues all over the Midwest with bands such as The Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind, Clem Snide, Mason Jennings, The Pee Wee Fist, Cub Country, Judah Johnson, and The Sun.
-They've been asked to accompany Clem Snide (www.clemsnide.com) on the Midwest legs of 3 tours, including shows in Minneapolis, Eau Claire, Madison, Milwaukee, and Chicago.
-They are great friends, they love playing music, and they just won't give up.)

(The guys in Jimmy's Comet honestly ARE really talented, and well rehearsed. So as to not mislead, you WOULD like them if you just gave them a chance. The problem is, it would only worsen their idealism. If you would like to put an end to their daydream, please listen to some sound samples while you're here, so you can say with confidence when you contact them that they should hang it up, get some dress clothes, sell all their gear, and grow old. Thanks for your time. Your help is much appreciated.)

REVIEWS

Good website with some flaws

Beatles is spelled wrong. Pictures are dark and not very good quality. The abbreviation for quantity is listed once as : qyt. You guys need a T-shirt sample for Meanwell. Also to get famous quicker, think of yourselves as toothpaste. Everyone dye their hair purple or wear the same outfits to establish a "look". Think about KISS and their wild makeup.

You should buy it.

Pay no attention to the review above this one, as it was apparently written by a slightly deranged individual. I think the sound clips speak for themselves--it's a good CD. You can listen to this CD in its entirety and enjoy every song. That can't be said about a lot of music these days. It's worth it. Buy it.
