Album Notes

South Bound Train

Jimmy Young, Canada\'s Black-Eyed Prince Of Soul as he is affectionately called
by his critics and fans is back with a FANTASTIC CD \"South Bound Train\".

\"South Bound Train\" has 15 tracks written by Rock and Roll hall of fame inductee Bob Gallo and Jimmy Young, produced and arranged by Bob Gallo.
While working at Atlantic Records and CBS Records Bob has produced such greats as James Brown, Patti LaBelle, Ben E. King, Solomon Burke, The Nylons and The Young Rascals to name a few.

Jimmy Young and Bob Gallo spent many months writing and rewriting songs, recording and rerecording certain tracks, because as Jimmy said “to make this CD something special”.
After listening to this CD I have to agree with Jimmy Young, this CD is just fantastic.
The tracks that stand out in my mind are, “I Don\'t Wanna Be Alone”, “24 / 7”,
“Still The Best”, the title track “Southbound Train” and a great funky track called
“Take Me For A Ride”.
Other great tracks of mention are,the caribbean sounding “I\'m Doin” and a very soulfull “Come And Break My Heart”.
With so many great tracks to choose from getting this CD is a must for REAL Soul / R&B lovers.

By listening to Jimmy Young you can hear why his musicial influences are the late
Luther Vandross, and other greats as Al Green, Freddie Jackson, Lionel Ritchie and
Ben E. King his friend and mentor.
