Album Notes

Songwriter from the North of England.

“Some songs by Jim Pearson” is the sum of the parts of last twelve months.

The songs explore slightly left-of-centre themes, such as the tragic story of a death-row wife murderer (Sixteen years), lost innocence (Miss September 1983), the end of the world (Eskimos), nostalgic holiday romance (Mary and me), as well the usual love and rejection, all delivered with quizzical optimism.

Early influences: Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band, Black Sabbath, Charlie Brown.

REVIEWS

A true songwriting craftsman
author: Scott Cryer
I feel that Jim Pearson is simply one of the best song craftsmen to come out of England in a long time. Each song on this album runs like a little movie vignette with visual storytelling lyrics and tasty uncluttered instrumentation. I highly recommend purchasing this hidden gem from across the pond. You won’t be disappointed.
