A fixture on the Memphis music scene for several years, Jim Wilson has gained exposure to travelers from around the world. His music has even found its way to the airwaves of several radio stations throughout the mid-south, earning praise from radio personalities and listeners alike.
Wilson's writing style for "Simple Things" is country with some grease on it. His songs are more than mere casual observations of life. They vary from fun country-funky looks at love like in the cut entitled Stop, Drop and Roll to more serious ballads like Jesse that expose the often painful yet possibly reaffirming human condition.
His up-coming record record, "This Old House", has a great Americana feel to it. The results of the new record come from growth as an artist and as a person. Jim would love to put a grin on the face of every person that is reached by his music. www.jimwilson.wormypeachmusic.com.

Modern country does'nt get much better
author: Jeff Guyon
I wasn't listening to much country in 2001.Were any of these songs hits?If not,why not?The upbeat Simple Things and Too Soon To Say, are better than anything on country radio today. And the acoustic Dim Lights shows Jim's versitility with excellant storytelling.Solid CD.Modern country, much less any style country, does'nt get much better than this.
