(See album notes for Johnny Jenkins, "Handle With Care".) This subsequent album, "All In Good Time", features a re-vamped "Big Bad Wolf"; one of his earliest hit singles, (recorded for Volt in the early '60s), along with songs that exemplify some of his earliest influences, such as Hank Williams, Sr. and Bill Doggett. It also contains 3 soulfully-delivered traditional tracks passed along through the late Reverend Pearly Brown, from Americus, Ga., a beloved street minstrel that sang the holy blues in the streets of Macon, Ga. during the early '60s, a period of unrest and civil rights transition in the South. This album was the second release for Johnny under the Mean Old World Records label, based in Athens, Ga., with another as-yet-untitled album slated for release in the spring of '01. Johnny's veteran all-star band features: Rick Hinkle, Stan Robertson, Bill Stewart, Randall Bramblett, Paul Hornsby, William Howse, and Count M'Butu. Producers were: Randall Bramblett, Bill Stewart, David Barbe, and Charles Dasher.
