ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
If you are a long time music fan, you will remember J.J. from the 50's.
He recorded many records of his own as an artist.
However, most of his works through the 50's and 60's consisted of studio work, with such artists as Sam Cooke, Larry Williams and The Hollywood Flames, etc.

J.J. pulled away from music during the 60's and did not record or play the Saxophone for some 30 years until this CD. At age 75, you will hear his tremendous ability through his beloved instrument, as he soulfully delivers some
of the greatest love songs such as the beautiful "Misty," "My Funny Valentine,"Stardust," "If Ever I Would Leave You," etc.

You will find and hear the CD "SAXUALLY ROMANTIC" to be convincingly "ROMANTIC."

serious sax playing
I love the sax and melodys played that I can relate to, this is a very heavy CD with songs that really reach out and get to you. I play it over and over and it just hangs with you.

Mellow, Mellow, Mellow
This CD is a must when I am spending an evening with my guy.

We just turn down the lights, have a nice cool glass of wine, dance and have a very romantic evening. You Go J.J.

This CD is for real
This CD is for real, J.J. lays out the message right off the top of the tracks with How Do You Keep The Music Playing.

My faorite track is My Funny Valentine. This is some real soulful playing, and you cant help but get the message immediately.

My first time knowing of J. J. Jones, however, I am searching for other releases on him.

Bought for Birthday present. Recipient loved it.
I bought this for a birthday present. The person I bought is a real jazz fan and he loved it. I personally was really impressed by the good service I received. I definitely will do business with CD Baby again. Thank you very much.

Fantastic arrangements, excellent musicians, amazing production
In front of the fire or for that quiet dinner with someone special, this loaded CD from J.J. Jones will set the mood to "just right." Indeed, with slow jams like "Summertime" and "My Funny Valentine", you're bound to get lucky tonight.

Broken heart you say? Not a problem, because J.J. was thinking of you, too. Bust out "How Do You Keep The Music Playing" or "If I Ever Would Leave You" and a bottle of your favorite wine or your best cognac and sip away the hurt. Music to heal the body and the soul, in my humble opinion.

And buy a second copy for the Benz, 'cause the wife will confiscate the first. In the morning commute to downtown L.A., I like to play "Don't Worry About Me" and "Fly Me To The Moon". On "Fly Me", J.J. straight takes a rip on the sax that sounds like it's from his forehead down to his feet. At 75 years young, he's got game.

And on the way back after a miserable day at work, a little "Misty" with the windows rolled up and the A/C on does it for me. It's my little way of telling the traffic where to go and puts me in the mood to see my beautiful wife and kids.

I guess J.J.'s got it like that...

From Stanley Turrentine to Kenny G...JJ stands up to the very best..
timeless compositions....played with passion and heart...I've been picking this CD out of the mellow jazz pile since I bought it...

jj's cd is the perfect music to relax to after a stressful day.
When I listen to Saxually Romantic I feel like I am being made love to. It is the perfect music to relax to or to set the mood for an intimate encounter with your significant other if you have one. J.J. Jones is truly a creative genius.
