The ODD LOT - CD/DVD:
Kuba’s music is influenced by his Eastern-European origins. While visiting his family in Bialystok, Poland in 2004, he made a journey around Eastern Europe in order get a sense of a region he heard about throughout his childhood. He was surrounded by the charm of fabulous places such as Prague, Krakow, Warsaw and Budapest. There, his record, the ODD LOT, started taking form. It’s a musical road journal where Kuba portrays his encounter as a French-Canadian with his eastern-European origins.
The film:
Constructions, is a documentary produced by Jean-André Fourestié that describes the process of recording a self produced record. This film portrays a group of young musicians with distinct visions of music lending their skills and musicianship in order to give life to Kuba’s music. This project was produced with practically no money but with the drive of friendship and love of music.
