Independent artist, Jared “J-Luv” Rackley, Tallahassee native, began his first musical experience at the age of three. After hearing the melodic sounds of his church choir, J-Luv has since been fascinated with the particular art of vocal expression.

At age six, J-Luv began singing in his church choir and quickly became one of the lead vocalists. This musical optimist then began artistically expressing himself by performing at various events, talent shows, and many other concerts. As he matured, his love for music led him into a more serious direction, in which he began writing, recording, and marketing himself.

With constant encouragement and support of family, friends, and local producers/promoters, J-Luv’s persistence has awarded him the opportunity to record with the group Field Mob (DTP), Total Kaos, Lil’ Boosie, Blood Raw. In addition, J-Luv has recorded and performed original compositions with several live bands, well as assisted with the arrangement and recording of hip-hop music for various up-and-coming artist.

His music is currently being spun on Florida radio stations and in clubs. He also has received over 5000 hits for his video performances at Tallahassee Nights Live! on You Tube, over 2500 hits on CD Baby, and over 8000 hits on J-Luv MySpace Page.

J-Luv’s recent accomplishments include winning the Blazin 102.3FM local artists contest, in which he was awarded the opportunity to attend the 2008 TJs DJs Music Conference; and performing as an opening act for up-and-coming BET comedian, Tight Mike in Orlando at the Improv and Club Koha.

In 2007, J-Luv was flown to Harlem, New York where he was awarded the opportunity to appear on several occasions at the world famous Showtime At the Apollo Theatre, where he came in 1st place performing his rendition of Donny Hathaway’s “A Song for You".

In 2006, J-Luv performed on The Phat Cat Live tour to a sold out audience and received 2 standing ovations for his rendition of Donny Hathaway’s “A Song for You”.
