Joni Minstrel, Village Protest Singer and leader of The Revolution Against Monarchs, performs at the Georgia Renaissance Festival, railing against the evils of taxes, war, and restrictive clothing. Since Joni's first appearance at the festival in 2001, she has recruited countless members for the ongoing revolution, taught the sign of the RAM to many small children, and successfully kicked the king at least twice.
Joni Minstrel can be found at the Brewer's Pub 4 times daily on Saturdays and Sundays during April, May, and June; for exact dates and times, go to the Georgia Renaissance Festival home page at http://www.garenfest.com.
This recording was produced by String the Minstrel (aka Matthew Trautwein) of The Lost Boys and is a new addition to the growing collection of oddities and souvenirs from the Georgia Renaissance Festival. Be sure to visit Joni's friends from the GARF:

Wonderful Cd!
Clever and cheeky lyrics, with a traditional and well sung ballad thrown in at the end.
This CD is well paced, and well put together.
If you enjoy the Renaissance Festival Scene, and also the music style from the good ol' days of folk music inspired by protests and equal rights, you will enjoy this CD.
It is a great bit of fun, and will have you singing
along in no time at all!
Two songs that I find quite catchy are ,Handsome Knights come Courting, and Burn the Bodice.
The Courting Song, is lovely and a joy to the ears
Well done Joni Minstrel!
