Album Notes

Jameson Moss 18, Jason McNichols 18, and Bennett Markoe, 15, came together as a group by happenstance. Jameson attended open mike night at The Rainbow Bar and Grill on Sunset Blvd to try out his original songs and was asked to come back to play a thirty minute gig. After playing over 45 minutes at the Rainbow as a solo acoustic artist, Jameson was invited to play at the world famous Whisky a Go Go.

Loving acoustic but feeling that he needed to rock the Whisky, Jameson invited his friend Jason ,who he met on the set of the Six Flags Commercial, More Flags, More Fun, Dance Machine, to play drums. With his cousin Hunter Moss helping out on bass, Jameson, Jason, and Hunter rocked what was supposed to be a thirty minute gig into a fifty minute great show.

With nine original songs finished, Jameson decided to try his hand at recording an original cd. Hunter, who is a solo artist himself, and not a bass player had to be replaced, so in steps an amazing talent, Bennett Markoe. At fourteen Bennett picked up Jameson's bass lines in one week. Jameson and Bennett played together at Rock Nation, a rock school in Santa Monica, and it was a perfect fit for the three young talented artists.

After only 22 hours Jameson- vocals, rhythm guitar, and lead guitar, Jason- drums and Bennett- bass, laid down all the tracks and overdubs, at Dennis Moody Studios in LA, to the first album, Jameson Moss and The Thrillers- City of Broken Lights. Thanks Dennis. Most songs were nailed in one take or two for safety. After laying down the tracks Jameson, working under the families indie label, JoeBro Records, took the tracks to Evren Goknar at Capitol Studios & Mastering to get the final mastering done on the songs. Thanks Evren. With his expertise the cd was finished and ready to go to Oasis Manufacturing where the final touches including the awesome cover and photos done by Jameson's brother Jonathan. Since releasing City of Broken Lights, Jameson Moss and the Thrillers have been nominated for two Hollywood Music in Media Awards for Fade To Black in the rock genre and Dm7 Blues for the Blues genre.

Being so young but with so much performance experience has been quite a ride for the guys and they are looking forward to their next cd, hopefully coming out in 2010.
