ABOUT THE ARTISTS
A native of Santiago Chile Jaime Mansilla received his musical training in Catholic University and Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh USA, with Daniel Heifetz. Living today in Florida USA, where is an active musician and Concertmaster of the principals orchestras of the South Florida. International recognition was established in 1992 when the New York Times say of him: “Mr. Mansilla is a super technician” for his performances in Carnegie Hall, and has grown through his recordings and international tours for 30 countries, including the best concert halls of the world like: Carnegie Hall and United Nations in New York USA, Place des Arts in Canada, Mozarteum in Salzburg Austria, halls in Spain, Hungry, Poland, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Switzerland, etc. His career was covered for CNN, BBC of London and all the international press for his highlight: “the first concert in the world in Antarctic territory” in 1993 served like Soloist and Conductor. He has shared the stage with giants of the music such as Luciano Pavarotti, Claudio Arrau, Tony Bennet, Samuel Adler, and others. He was invited to play with the World Philharmonic Orchestra in Brazil under the baton of Loren Mazel. Mr. Mansilla plays in a old A. Stradivarius Violin crafted in 1701 in Cremona Italy.
The St. Angelis Chamber Orchestra was first created by conductor James Manson at Austin School of Music in 2000. Back in 2001 began activities as an independent musical chamber orchestra and moved to Miami Florida to perform frequently in major halls and concert festivals. Actually lead by professor John Stein, The St. Angelis Chamber Orchestra has grown through many recordings debugging skills in baroque and classical music repertory. St. Angelis Chamber Orchestra. What a great performance of the Four seasons by Antonio Vivaldi. Vivid, emotional, well performed; good taste in every minute as the CD roles by. Mr. Mansilla shows his amazing reserves at hand building always a great dialogue with The St. Angelis Chamber orchestra.
