Album Notes

Jeff Munsick has been a Spanish teacher for twenty years and a singer/songwriter for even longer than that. He has a B.A. in Spanish and a M.A. in Applied Linguistics, both from Indiana University. He has enjoyed bringing his guitar and other musical instruments to class and leading his students in singing traditional songs and some of his original compositions in Spanish. One day, after successfully coaxing a group of seventeen year olds to stand up and do the “Hokey Pokey” in Spanish, Jeff was inspired to compose a songbook/CD that would consist of songs in Spanish with guitar chords, basic guitar instruction, and learning ideas for anyone interested in combining a love of music with an interest in learning Spanish. The result of that inspiration is ¡Canto Tanto!, a songbook in Spanish with an accompanying CD.
