Album Notes

Joanna began singing at a very young age and really hasn’t stopped. Ever. It’s becoming a bit of a problem. Actually, Joanna grew up in rural Minnesota and started singing with her family’s traveling church group, The Jahn Family singers. It started as a hobby and became a passion. Now she can afford to buy french fries and still put gas in her car while doing what she loves for a living.

Joanna is a classically trained but very versatile vocalist and performer. Whether she’s onstage impersonating Karen Carpenter, singing Hank Williams’ covers in a country bar or crooning love songs in an evening gown to a crowd of a thousand: name the voice, the range, the style and Joanna’s got it. You probably have heard Joanna’s voice on radio or tv, as she makes her living telling you to buy stuff. She has been a professional voiceover artist for several years and her client list is long and continually growing.


Joanna currently sings with The Dollys, an all girl trio who perform the hits of Dolly Parton, EmmyLou Harris, Linda Ronstadt and many others. She also sings with Steeling Dan, a thirteen piece Steely Dan tribute band. She is a featured performer every year in Christmas In The City, a holiday show with John Trones and Jim Brickman and she is also featured on several of John Trones’ albums

Joanna’s self titled debut album is chock full of original rock/pop country tunes and performed by some of the best musicians in town such as, Jim Anton, Jeff Victor, Ken Chastain, Joe Savage, Trent Norton, Andra Suchy and Kari Shaw…just to name a few.
