Album Notes
The album "Before" features a list of well-known musicians in the music scene of Puerto Rico; guitarist Sergio Gonzalez (Fana), pianist David Ojeda (Domino Saints), drummer Fernando Garcia (Yerba Bruja), alto saxophonist Jonathan Suazo (Paoli Mejias), and the leader of the group, bass player Joan Torres. The album also features guitarist Gabriel Vicéns (SM Quinteto) in the last two tracks, "Tragic End" and "Enlightenment". All of these musicians come together to form the group All is Fused. The talent and diversity of its musicians as well as the synthesized ideas in each of the compositions form the engaging sound recorded on this album. The music was written by Joan Torres and it includes a wide range of sounds from the more traditional and the seventies-like, to a modern sound. This creates an atmosphere throughout the album of Jazz with a bit of attitude.

The music was recorded live in two sessions on January 10 and 11, 2012. The location for the sessions was Playbach Studio, a local studio where a variety of artists from Puerto Rico, like Brenda Hopkins, Cultura Profética and Residente Calle 13, go to make their records. The engineers who worked on this album were multi-grammy winning Ramón Martinez and Carlos Velázquez. The mastering was handled by David Rodríguez.

The album contains many photographs, in addition to the cover, taken by Ariana Loren during the sessions and live performances. The art design was handled by Random Designs.

The album was produced by Joan Torres.
