For the past 15 years this N.J. based band has been electrifying the tri-state area's rock clubs and concert halls with it's infectious style of "High-Energy Rock and Soul"!
Recently voted as one of the top-ten Jersey bands by "News-12-New Jersey", this group has opened concerts for James Brown, Joan Jett, Eddie Money, Mitch Ryder, Danny Federici, Clarence Clemons, Gary U.S.Bonds, The Monkees, Gary Puckett, Beaver Brown and has been joined onstage numerous times by the likes of Jon BonJovi and Bruce Springsteen.
In 2003 "JB & The Godsons" rocked Giants Stadium before Bruce and The E-Street Band took the stage.
Also this past year, the band completed a very successful four night stand at "The Boulder Station Casino" in Las Vegas and will be hopefully returning this coming fall.

Wonderful!
author: DeannaSaw the band twice, at the past 2 LOD shows, and they are awesome!! We live in Johnstown, PA, but will definately try to do a road trip next summer to see the band! Can't wait to see them do a full setlist, instead of only the few songs they get to play at LOD. Looking forward to seeing them again... Until then, I have their CD to keep me rocking!
Turn Up Heat Joe Bonnano & Godsons of Soul
author: Ranger2692I heard this group live at the Union County Musicfest 2005, and two of their tracks stuck in my mind: When you walk Into the Room" Hold Tight, I've just about worn out this CD. This Jersey group is reminiscent of the Jersey Shore sounds of the late sixties and early seventies, its a shame they don't receive national coverage & esposure?? Also the website responds to orders quickly great service!!

Great Rock and Roll CD
author: Dawn K BearceJoBonanno and the Godsons of Souls CD Turn Up the Heat is a great Rock and Roll CD. This is also a awesome band to see live. They have a energy you rarely see in performers, you can hear that energy in this CD. This is a CD that should be in every Rock and Roller's collection. It is in mine, and I listen to it often.
This album is a "must-have" for any real Jersey Rock fan
author: Ralph PettiThis album is an essential album for anyone with a soul that needs to survive the ups and downs of life. Jobonanno and his band are fresh, crisp and creative - and they make the songs work well together. Seeing them in concert only fuels the fire of the potential of this album. Go get it - fall in love with it - and then give it to all of your friends as Holiday gifts. Rock on!!
Energizing and soulful!
author: Laura T Lynch of Kweevak.comAlthough this high-energy rock band from New Jersey have been playing together since 1981,Turn Up The Heat is their debut release. The band and its thirteen track CD are aptly named. This group blends rock and soul in a classic format that is played with passion and precision. Excitement and fun flow from every song. Arrangements and production are diverse featuring horns, keys and of course solid rock guitar chords. Right from the opening track 'When The Night...' the CD ignites with first-rate musicianship, feisty horns, smoldering guitar leads, a danceable beat and expressive vocals. The whole CD captures this vibe and continues to the last song with exuberance. 'Temptation' is seductive with sexy horns, bluesy beats and dueling vocals. 'Picture Perfect Girl' perfectly blends a pedal steel slightly country sound with soulful horns and classic rock guitars. It is a great gumbo of sounds! Turn Up The Heat is hot debut and Jobonanno & The Godsons of Soul play with heart and soul!
Jersey Still Rocks
author: Faye LeipzigI saw these guys at Trump Marina a few weeks ago with John Eddie and they did cover songs and a few of songs from the album ...They should play more songs from this album It has everything to please someone, from My 65 year old mother to my 10 year old and my 7 year old ..(I had to get them their own copy ) ,..I dont know if that happens much that you can appeal to young and old ,But these guys do it ...So Jersey Still Rocks?? Someone told me they were from Maryland ..
this cd rocks
author: mike altschulerlistening to this cd i hear little richard , meatloaf, bruce , southside johnny and bon jovi all in one. the songs are great and the sound of the band is original yet reminds me of all these great artists. looking forward to the next one joe. mike
A great translation of their live sound.
author: Lyla VincentReminiscent of Jersey greats Springsteen and Southside Johnny, with a little Meatloaf and John Hiatt blended in. Not a weak link in the group - the sax work alone makes this album a winner.
Great Jersey sound
author: Gerald RohanVarious styles incorporated into this well made CD Not since the Asbury Jukes Bon Jovi and Springsteen has there been a more undeniable Jersey sound This should get airplay
