Album Notes
If you haven't heard rave reviews of Jocelyn Scofield, you will. She has been compared to such current female artists as Fiona Apple and Aimee Mann and such old favorites as Karen Carpenter, and Helen Reddy. With her clear voice, infectious smile and quick wit, Jocelyn has quickly charmed audience members throughout California, Illinois, and Michigan.

At nineteen, Jocelyn recorded and independently distributed her first release, "Painted Pictures,” which contained eight original songs. She has performed in venues such as the renovated Soldier Field, Grant Park Music Festival, and Navy Pier. She was also the voice of choice for emerging songwriters at Summer Song Records, Inc. After deciding to take her career forward, she moved from Chicago to Los Angeles where Jocelyn is now aggressively pursuing a career as a full-time singer/songwriter. Never one to wait for life to happen, upon arriving in Los Angeles she immediately started performing. Because of her growing fan base, booking agents throughout Los Angeles are beginning to pursue her. Since her move, Jocelyn has been seen giving her trademark heart-felt, witty, and spontaneous performances at Genghis Cohen, Room 5, The Rainbow, Casey’s, Hallenbeck’s, and Highland Grounds. Her song Revenge recently caught the ear of Tee-M, a successful singer/songwriter in Los Angeles and was featured on Tee-M's Unsigned Music Show.

Jocelyn has just finished her new album, This Life, which was released on November 19 and is exclusively available through her website. Currently she is on a Coast to Coast Humanity Tour in support of the Habitat for Humanity’s Operation Home Delivery. Over two and a half months, Jocelyn will perform in more than 50 cities in 35 states. $2 from every CD and donations collected during the shows will go to assist in the Hurricane Relief Effort.

so cool!
This girl is so cool! She was at a club in Lansing, MI. I didn't even know who she was, but I had come to see a friend open for her. Oh my gosh, she has a voice and a half. I couldn't even believe it was coming out of her mouth. She did this cover of Coldplay's Clocks-so pretty. It isn't on her CD-darn. I did end up getting her CD, which is really good by the way. She's got this song about Revenge-so funny.

The only thing is that I wish it had more songs on it. There are only eight and I thought that was a little short. She had another one I didn't get. I wish now I had.

Love it!!!
I randomly found Jocelyn Scofield's website and checked out her music. So pretty. I LOVE her hair. But she's got a voice that's like so pure. I ended up singing one of her songs all day and even made my husband listen to them (but he's not really into chick singers).

Really worth it!

WOW..."This Life" should be in your life!
I had thought that the only way to get this CD was to see Jocelyn live (which you should do if you have the chance). It's great to see it here on cdbaby so that more people can enjoy her work on "This Life".

Once you get over the joyful experience of Jocelyn's masterful musical arrangement and talent laden vocal quality you realize something special...lyrics actually matter to Jocelyn Scofield. That's what puts this CD over the top. Talent, hard work AND passion!! Do yourself a favor and make "This Life" a part of your life.

great voice!!
I saw this young woman play in Wisconsin last year. Really great sound. She writes and plays her own songs on piano and guitar. Really talented. The CD is well done-definitely worth 10 bucks. Favorite song-Sweet David.
