Jodelle's voices is deep and smooth and sounds very nice with the melodies and instrumentation.
The songs are well written with interesting melodies and there's great use of the crescendo and decrescendo…very important in music in my opinion. This stuff's emotional. [read full review on site]

The record is fabulous. The production is top rate and sounds just lovely.

Probably what grabs me most is the beautiful piano playing. It is at times reminiscent of early Sarah Slean. Someone I will always adore. I am also reminded of an artist called Anny.
I would place Jodelle's music somewhere in between jazz, pop and cabaret. Well, not cabaret as much as just that it has this theatrical feel. Like I should be seeing this performed live instead of just on record. The record is fabulous. The production is top rate and sounds just lovely. I just think it would be great to see it live too.
The album is visually presented in comic book fashion. The pictures used in the liner notes are a combination of cartoon and photograph and are very fun and kitschy. Apparently, there is a comic book called "The Adventures of Jodelle" from which these pictures come.

If you like piano pop-rock with strong vocals and intriguing melodies, I think you'll like "The Adventures of Jodelle".
Stand out songs: "Once In A Blue Moon" and "Particle" are my favorites today.

Truly unique and wonderful
author: Dave Hedden
I think the biggest compliment I can give Jodelle about this wonderful CD is that she doesn't sound like anyone else I've heard. She has her own very unique style that sets her apart from all the rest. Great use of rhythms and exquisitly written haunting melodies, harmonies and lyrics. No big commercial hooks - just very flowing, beautiful music - from one song to the next with a very distinctive and beautiful voice - pitch perfect to the ears. Write, sing and play; this girl can do it all. There's only one thing I personally would want to hear more of and that's 3 or 4 part vocal harmony. The production is great and the musicians are nothing less than excellent. A must have for the listener with truly diverse and eclectic taste in music.

melodic, true and strait

as a native of the garden state Jodelle's home, it's refreshing to hear one of our own make good. it's not fare to compare this to tori or Sarah. like those other singers, Jodelle tends to be a little clever and wordy, but unlike tori and sarah, her voice connected immediately with my blind ears as beautiful soft and gental and she's also drawing from different sounds with her piano. tori and sarah are more folky but Jodelle is more classically sounding to me anyway. shrinking violet and all save one on this first effort are highlights. hope all the folks going to this year's black potatoe festable hear this voice and those song it will be worth the trip all the way into clinton township NJ. if Jodelle can stay on message and not try to be smart clever and someone elitest like the singers mentioned above she'll eventually catch and pass them. jodelle you've won at least one garden stater over.
