Joe Berry began his musical career at the young age of 15, playing the
Various honky tonks throughout the southeast and Midwest. He played in
Numerous bands in the early years. During the 1970’s he had a band called Joe Berry And The Country Tradition following the dream of being a Nashville Recording artist, however as bands sometimes do the members went in
Different directions though always remaining as friends. The 80’s found Joe playing in a couple of country show bands. It began with Jill Pierce And
Appaloosa, followed by “Dixie Road” In 1994 Joe Berry recorded a Don Goodman Tune that charted to a number 13 country music record.
As Of Current Joe Berry and his highly polished band the Berry Pickers are
Touring with Jan Howard, Ernie Ashworth, and Charlie Louvin a guest of the Grand Ole Opry Road Show along with another
Special guest, A legend, the man who recorded the “Truckers Last Ride” Colonel Robert Morris, also known as “The Man With The Golden Pen”.
Joe is honored and thankful to Colonel Robert and Bob Timmers for his being inducted in the Traditional Country Hall Of Fame. Another career move landed
Joe Berry the chance to sing two songs in the Hollywood Movie “Bad Trip” which released in May 2005 staring Ethan Suplee, Kevin Connolly, Coolio,
Merle Kennedy, Kristin Minter, and MC Gainey. The film is a “Lions Gate” film and directed by Kelly Preston’s brother and Erik Fleming.
The Grand Ole Opry Road show has several shows lining up for 2005 and 2006. When asked, Joe said what an honor to be playing music with some of my country music hero’s and to do what you love in your heart for your living.
As for the future, I live one day at a time as my Lord said to do and have hopes of one day stepping out on the stage of The World Famous Grand Ole Opry.
