New Jersey singer-songwriter Joe Colledge is back with his new release, “Out of the Blue”, on indie label OMS Records. Colledge’s highly-anticipated sophomore effort follows his 2007 debut release, “Table For One”, which had garnered significant critical acclaim in the independent music community and has earned him serious FM/Satellite and Podcast airplay, as well as a series of Film & TV publishing deals. Joe and his band have spent the previous two years touring the Northeast and the NY Metro area in support of the record and are now gearing up to hit the road again with this release of “Out of the Blue”.
The new LP features Colledge’s signature Jersey rock sound, complete with modern pop-rock hooks and a taste of modern Americana, while maintaining his traditional rootsy melodies in the same vein as Tom Petty, Counting Crows, and Gin Blossoms. New and existing fans alike will appreciate such tracks as the first rock-driven single, “Waiting For Love”, the introspective ballad, “Story of My Life”, the touching title track, and a pleasingly rare cover of Three Dog Night’s “Shambala”.
Working with producer Anthony Vitale and seasoned LA mixer, Eddie Jackson, the Jersey artist has compiled a fantastic rock collection in “Out of the Blue” that proves he is eager and able to stand out in a very crowded music marketplace. Indeed, the new album builds on the momentum Colledge has gained from his first release and there is no doubt that music lovers will be coming back for more with the release of this inspiring LP!

Excellent blend of Alternative Pop/Rock music
author: Diane and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
An excellent blend of Alternative Rock and light Pop awaits you as Joe Colledge releases his second album, “Out of the Blue.” The energy and enthusiasm on this album is refreshing and renders the listener wanting to hear more of these enjoyable, melodic songs. Colledge and his talented group of musicians prove their abilities to be focused artists with a well rehearsed dynamic balance. The soft rock single, “Rock Song” moves with a solid, easy flowing beat, vocals that are crisp and clean, and smooth, bouncy guitar progressions. Showcasing some great harmonies, “Story of My Life,” is a wonderful ballad where vocals are sung with sweet sincerity. Originally recorded by Three Dog Night, “Shambala” is a terrific rendition as this group puts their own magical spin to it and yet it keeps its original tonality. If you’re a fan of the groups Gin Blossoms or Counting Crows, then don’t miss a chance to hear the delectable songs of “Out of the Blue.”
