ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Joe Davis, lead guitarist and singer of the infamous Joe Davis Band from Kannapolis Nc, presents a body of work that he has entitled "Little Songs". Small songs that have big heart and soul. Presented on acoustic guitar, and piano. Joe's southern soul emerges on the tracks, featuring slide guitar, and some very incredible vocals. (Joe Davis winner of the Charlotte Music Awards best male vocalist 2008). Also a song that was wrote for a racing legend... Get this cd and some cornbread and milk..and you will enjoy this album again and again...

Nothing Little About "Little Songs"
For everyone who knows Joe Davis as THE "Ball to the Wall" Southern Metal Guitar Virtuoso, brace yourself. There is another side to this musical genius. On "Little Songs", Joe's husky soulful voice is in top form as he tells his tales of love, loss, heroism and southern culture as only Joe can. His songwriting is as crystalline as ever and although this album is based around his songwriting, singing and acoustic guitars, fear not Joe Davis fans. He still whips out his trusty Les Paul Custom on several songs, often paired with a steel slide as he adds atmospheric Delta Slide stylings that will transport you down to the Bayou. Joe has too much talent to be contained in one style as he explores rock, folk, Delta Blues, country, and even flirts with classical and Flamenco styles, yet it is still 100% Joe Davis. Joe Davis is no "One Trick Pony" and this album proves. Check out the other side of the Joe Davis coin. (Some of my favorite tracks include: L'il Piece of Mind, Nowhere in Sight, Hand Me Downs, The Only True Hero, Adios Flamingo...just to name a few)
