Joe's self titled CD is a collection of witty, personal songs that tell stories ranging from bandit farmers ("Countryside") to TV-watching couch potatoes ("Later Moved to Hollywood"). His dynamic vocal range is showcased on "Mama's Attitude," where he belts out soulful, gritty melodies, while the melancholy "Better Things" reflects on the difficulties of everyday life.

Deveau recorded the entire CD in the privacy of his own home, where he was free to experiment with funky sounds and clever arrangements. It was released in his hometown Boston, where he regularly drew crowds of 100+. Joe and his band have shared the stage with the likes of The Roots, Better Than Ezra, and Naughty By Nature, to name a few.
