Album Notes

Joe Fournier is originally from Ontario and lived in the Halifax area for a number of years, quietly making fantastic records in his "raw sugar shed" on the water. He eventually moved to Alberta and has been busy making more records and touring as much as possible, Joe's been compared to John Fogerty, Johnny Cash, even Bruce Springsteen, but he simply plays American music with soul and sincerity - just a man, his roots and his songs. You’ll find some elements of country, swampy blues, pop and a good dose of Bakersfield everywhere. His songs are well-crafted and his stories are great - he is a seasoned pro - and he plays pretty much anything with strings (as well as drums, for that matter). Brilliant stuff, totally recommended.
