ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Here's what the reviewer's had to say about Joel Frankel's "I Can't Sit Still":

Billboard Magazine's Child's Play column praised "I Can't Sit Still" as "...one of the most delightful, original cassettes we have come across in recent times."

Publisher's Weekly opined, "...a winning combination of intelligent, plain lyrics and engaging music. In addition to guitar and keyboards, cat purrs, kazoo, spoons and fiddles augment the music. The quirkiness and simplicity of Frankel's songs make this an ideal listening experience."

Singer, songwriter and children's entertainer Joel Frankel is a big kid who's been entertaining smaller kids and their parents for nearly two decades. By combining his musical talents with his teaching background, Frankel has developed a creative and stimulating musical performance that captivates listeners of all ages.

Frankel's four children's albums, "Don't Sit On A Cactus", "I Can't Sit Still", "JoJo's Barnyard Bash", and "Ship of Chocolate Chips have received numerous awards including the Dr. Toy Best Audio award, the Children's Music Web Award, the Parent's Choice Award and the NAPPA Award. Frankel's song "We Go Together" was featured in the classic motion picture "Big", starring Tom Hanks. His songs have been on "The Learning Channel," an "NBC-Movie of the Week," and MTV.

My grandson loved the songs and we sing them together.
This CD is so entertaining and the songs are really catchy! Each time I listened to the CD I found another song that I liked as a favorite. My grandson's favorites are "Charlie is a Spoon", "I just got a present", Catchy Catchy Cat and of course, King and Queen of the Sandbox.
I like them all!
