Album Notes

Joel Keller's debut CD, "Joel Sings Joel," has garnered unusual and extraordinary success
in the few months since its release. Two songs, "Backdoor Man" and "Rainbow in My Tears,"
are part of the soundtrack of "Breaking and Entering," an independent film shot in Louisville, Kentucky in 2003.

Joel, a prolific songwriter, was fortunate to be mentored by legendary songwriter Jack Keller
(no relation) shortly after moving to Nashville in 1996. Joel's wry sense of humor, coupled with his ability to create a clever turn of phrase, makes his songs engaging, delightful, and just plain fun to listen to. You are never sure where the lyrics may take you! Joel delivers a contemporary message with a voice that is reminiscent of the era of Hank Williams and other great old country blues singers.

A frequent co-writer with Marci Nimick, Joel and Marci are currently working on a CD,"Bluegrass
state of Mind", due to be released this fall. Their song "Silly Me" is a very popular tune in Music City, and will be playing on radio stations this summer.

There is no doubt that this CD will soon become a cdbaby.com favorite, so be confident that when you purchase "Joel Sings Joel" you will be returning often to this page, watching and waiting for the release of Joel Keller's next CD.

Joel played several songs from "Joel Sings Joel", "Silly Me" and "The Backdoor Man" brought down the house and several rounds of applause. I really reccomend this CD. Joel is one of Nashvilles best!!!!
