TopCat Records is proud to announce the release of Building An Ironman, the debut CD constructed by the Joe Miller Band. Writing his own material and pouring his creativity into the project, Joe Miller has created a 24-carat blend of raw talent and dedicated musical passion that he has cast into a unique and insightful alternative rock album. The results speak for themselves.
The foundation was laid a few years ago while Miller was on-stage during an open-mic jam at a Dallas, Texas nightclub, singing the emotional pain and triumph of a lifetime's worth of experiences. Transfixed by what he heard, a DJ from public radio station KNON recruited Miller for a segment featuring up and coming songwriters. Since the segment's airing, Joe Miller has stayed busy writing songs, refining those songs in the studio, and working in the Dallas music scene with his band.
Joe's voice can only be described as original and smoky-smooth. His vocal coach is Linda Septien who also coaches such artists as Jessica Simpson, Destiny's Child, and 98 Degrees. Curtis Randall, tour manager and bass player for LeAnn Rimes, produced the CD; which features the talents of Milo Deering and Dan Wojciechowski.
The first single "Alive" rocks you like a blitzkrieg, the soulful "Deep Water" relaxes you. The brilliant "Brand New Day" lifts you up and makes you think, while "Daddy's Girl" reminds you what it is all about. This CD is sure to be one of the hottest releases of 2003, and the band is gearing up for an extensive tour of the Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Arkansas area.
