Album Notes

One of the most multi-talented underground artists out there. Joe Nacco goes all out on his third release since leaving the indie cult classic band, HEAD.

Joe says, "We recorded The Head of a Monkey in 3 days under the influence. This time we took 7 months and I went over every little fine detail of this album with a fine tooth comb, Brian Wilson-style. I spent a great deal of time getting all the correct instruments to capture the mood and meaning of every song. Plus we were all sober the whole time!"

With "Lovelight" getting international airplay and "Inside My Room" being featured on the indie-film "Used People" before the album has even been released, look for "The Lost Art" to enjoy a great deal of success.

Joe says, "The real goal this time was no slacking off. Every track 1-10 would be an extraordinary track in some fashion and unique in it's own way. I wanted to put something out where the listener wouldn't want to skip over any tracks, ever. I invite everyone to take a listen to each and every song. We really feel like we've accomplished what we set out to do."

Songs you may have heard on the radio include "By Your Side" and "It's OK." "Inside My Room" is featured on the soundtrack for the indie film "Used People."

What the critics say:

"If you're looking for a fresh new artist with talent up the wazoo, you've found him. For a kid that got his humble beginning in the Capital District in Upstate NY, I am astounded by the eclectic influences he exhibits."
- Meghan Reilly, Impose Magazine

"He has a Beatlesque songwriting style that is all his own, combined with a distinctive voice that is instantly recognized."
- Linda Fenoff, Greenville Press

"Joe obviously has talent and a good country/pop/rock sound."
- David Brice, Radio Network, New Zealand

It is an excellent cd. The songs are catchy, and the kids love the Woo Hoo's! I find myself singing the songs long after I have stopped playing it.

I just bought the cd and I am listening to it as I type this. I can't believe the quality of the cd and the songs are quite impressive. I've never heard of this band before but if another cd becomes available, I will definately be purchasing it. The songs are all amazing, and from listening to many musician's in my family, I know that the harmony that is on this cd is next to impossible. Keep up the great work!! - This was definately a "Big Win"
