Album Notes

Closer is Joe Nacco’s first single in a year and a half. The song shows a firm commitment from Nacco to bring back the “guitar solo” from the great 80’s era and incorporate it into a modern rock song. This is the first Joe Nacco recording to feature Mark Johnston (Joe Nacco Band, Cheater) on bass and the flamboyant one-named session drummer Dick on drums. The release of this single also shows Nacco’s vision of ditching the album concept in favor of focusing on releasing strong singles. In response to when the next album will be ready Nacco quips, “If it takes four years to release ten singles then that’s when we’ll have a new album and it will be grand!”
