Album Notes

This 1993 release is the first of four Joens projects produced by Bernie Larsen. Laying the foundation for years to come, small town images abound on OMAHA, from lives in disrepair (Everything's Broken, Cryin'Time (Patsy)) to fond memories of a grandmother (Lizzie's Place) to a wonderfully rollicking take on Roger Miller's "King of the Road." I purchased this CD strictly because E.G. Daily was on it & I'm a collector. I was pleasantly surprised that he has a pleasant voice, it's good music, and it's well written. My favorite track is Omaha but overall it is a very good CD well worth the little money it cost.
