With so much strife, war, and terror in the Middle East, the Indian Content, and other parts of Central Asia, I was moved to compose the music of this CD. The title of this CD was inspired by the Hindu worship of the goddess Saraswati the patron diety of Knowledge and Music. While this entire area has several religions that often clash with one another, I could not help but feel that if people are surrounded by Music and are encouraged to expand their knowledge, then eventually people may also be inspired to desire peace regardless of their religious and ethnic differences. However, when people hear music which may move their very souls the desire for war and hate might be lessened, if only for a little while. Therefore, where there is knowledge there is less chance for hatred due to ignorance, and where there is music there is rhthym, and where there is rhthym there could be peace as people connect with the beating heart of the universe that surrounds us through that music. The music on this CD begins with various Middle Eastern flavors followed by Indian influences both modern and classical. Finally the soul searching contemplation of Buddhist monks can be heard in the remaining tracks of this CD.
