Album Notes

``Time for Revival’ is the long awaited Fifteen track album of Hip-Hop / R & B from Joseph George, a.k.a. Joey `G’.
Born in London in 1973, he moved to Nigeria at the age of two and grew up listening to the likes of Michael Jackson, New Edition, Bobby Brown’s teen-age band, Lionel Ritchie, Cameo and Kurtis Blow, hence, the urban soul and hip-hop connection.

Joey G became a committed Christian in 1989 and did not take up music seriously until 1996 when he discovered a Christian hip-hop band called D.C.Talk, he became highly inspired by this band and he began writing his own lyrics and songs.

Then in 1999, Joey believes God laid it on his heart to embark on a music mission to finance overseas projects with the street children, orphans and widows in such diverse places as India, Romania and Africa, where he has also performed.
Joseph already has two EP’s under his belt (Signs of the last days 2001) and (It’s Coming 2003).
He then booked studio time with the intention of producing an album, two and a half years later brings the fresh new sounds of “Time For Revival”.

The album is diverse in nature with tracks such as “Treasure” with it’s rich Hip Hop flavor, “It’s Coming” featuring strong Drum `n Bass elements & “Hold On”, bringing an R&B feel to the album.
Listen to the BluprintZ mix of “Hold On”, a dance classic in the making & the reggae influences of ”Ragga Flow”.

“Time For Revival”…a mixing pot of styles, within the urban genre’….peace.
