Album Notes

Joey Val is the self-same guy as Joey Valentinetti.
THIS REAL BIG KID is a solo project for Joey in which he plays and sings the bulk of the material, playing guitars, mandolins, keyboards, accordion and electric bass. He also covers a few of his partner's, Michael Latini's, tunes and one poem.
Together as Bonzini Latini, they write humorous, thoughtful and well-written, clever songs about life, liberty and the pursuit of "Closin' Time".
Bonzini Latini is not your typical 'two white guys with guitars'.MichaeLatini, a prolific singer/songwriter whose wit and humor blend with his warm vocals, guitar and harmonica, is joined by Joey Valentinetti on vocals, bass, guitar, mandolin and accordion. Together, as Bonzini Latini , they play an eclectic mix of original lyric folk on PAST DUE.
Check out this new release which is as wide a collection of styles as you will find on a single release. Something for everyone. This Real Big Kid!

Joey has accomplished here what Carl Wallinger does in World Party. He's effected seamless tracking of guitar, bass, keyboards, mandolins and accordion and made it sound like a room full of decent players. KJW

I listened to it so many times! To be honest, I do'nt go for folk songs, but this one, I just find it so uplifting, and the more you listen, the more it grows on you.
