Joey has had a passion for writing songs ever since he heard "Your Song" by Elton John and Bernie Taupin.

He picked up a guitar, learned some chords, and started putting words to music.

His heroes were (and still are) James Taylor, Jackson Browne and Bruce Springsteen.

After learning more about music and listening to songs is when it all came together. Write from your heart....and write what someone might feel. Be honest. Keep it simple.

Joey has also had songs published in Nashville, Tennessee and has won or placed in songwriting competitions.

What really was a turning point was playing out and getting positive response when he would do his originals.

After friends and listeners started asking, "Why don't you record some of your songs?" He laughed and said, "OK, why not!"

And so here we are "Putting Yesterday Behind " is Joey's first release.

It's a collection of eleven songs written from the heart dealing with storms of emotion and highways,where love is lost and sometimes found.
