the swedish perfection
i heard this music for the fisrt time about twenty years ago. Since this moment i have always keep those melodies in my mind. They are just unforgetable.

Jazz pa Svenska
I bought this album while on a trip to Sweden in 1975 then bought it on cd in the early 90's. I just downloaded it from ITunes. It remains one of my favorite albums of all times.

Haunting, but lively. Perfect road trip music - not lulling, but not road intru
First owned as a 78 record, then taped, scratches and all, now I have the best possible way to listen to this subtle, elegant music. I heard nuances I never even knew existed. It is my constant driving companion. What little I know about Swedish folk music doesn't seem to materialize in this music, but my visits to Sweden are readily evoked.

Sieglinde Dieckmann

Many thanks to you. A perfect service!!

The most beautiful record I have ever heard
This captures "nordiskt vemod" ("Nordic melancholy" roughly translated) perfectly. Sheer beauty!

deeply moving example of complete artistic integrity
An ideal and intelligent coupling of folk tunes with a jazz twist by artists with a thorough understanding of the 'classical' idiom.(think of Jimmy Giuffre meeting a Swedish John Lewis).
Deeply melancholic and moving music not to be labelled or categorised. Why this recording and artist are not more known outside Sweden is completely beyond me ! Highly recommended.

Colin Douglas

This is one of the most sublime albums I have ever had the good fortune to hear. It should be made a compulsory purchase for all humans - just listening to it makes you KNOW that all is well.

good music for sex...and dancing traditional Swedish polska.
There is nothing better to listen to if you want music for sex. Other uses: if you know how to dance Swedish poslka or Norwegian pols you can actually dance these to this music and enjoy the dance with a less traditional feeling. If you like this music you might want to listen to some traditional Swedish polska music, there are similarities in feeling. My opinion is that this cd is just the BEST.

the perfet music for a dark winter night at home
Phantastic and intelligent! It seems the perfect music for a dark winter night with a good red wine.

Oooh the happiness!
Thank you CD Baby and Heptagon Records. This is easily one of the most beautiful albums of the 20th century - possibly better even than Kind of Blue. Gut wrenching homesickness inducing for a Danish expat in New Zealand. I cannot recommend this highly enough.
