Album Notes

John Adams is a singer/songwriter in the tradition of James Taylor, Jimmy Buffet, John Prine, Steve Goodman, etc. etc. John's voice is often compared to James Taylor, and John Denver, both of whom were very influential in John's approach to music and songwriting (and very evident on this recording).

Halo Moon is collection of John's early work. Many years ago, John recorded a demo tape in Nashville that included many of these songs. At the time, John's inexperience allowed him to be talked into creating a "Nashville Sound" demo, full of weeping steel guitars, and country riffs, which was OK, but, it wasn't really true to John's roots and style. This recording is. It captures the "man with his guitar" style that has become John's trademark. Alone, (the harmonies you hear all all John, too!), honest, and straight from the heart.
