Album Notes
John Dean is a guitarist, singer, and songwriter, best known for his contribution to The Dean Brothers Band, a 1970s group known throughout the Northeast concert and bar circuit for their strong, complex vocal harmonies. The band's first album, As They Are, rose to Number 4 on the Central New York music charts, and two of their singles were Top 10 hits, receiving daily local airplay. In addition to their original songs, the Dean Brothers were well known for their medleys of Beatles, Stevie Wonder, The Doors, and Crosby, Stills & Nash songs--musical influences that can be heard in John's original compositions. When the Dean Brothers Band dissolved, John joined with other local musicians to form groups, including The Fossils and Stage Fright with Linn Brown. He now performs solo and continues to write and record the songs that he performs.
