ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Don't be misled by the cartoon..
or the fact that it was drawn by Johns Grandfather 85 years ago!
That's Johns Dad as a baby and his Grandfather walking the floor in San Francisco in the early 1920's

Musician. Songwriter. Entertainer. Funny man. Baseball coach. Pancake maker. Lawn mower. John Dunnigan is many things. He’s also one lucky, plucky guy. He’s been fortunate to play music for a living almost his entire life. Pick any stringed instrument and odds are he can pick it - guitar, banjo, pedal steel. He also blows a mean harp. During his career, John has played with Bonnie Raitt, Asleep at the Wheel, Norton Buffalo, The Dirt Band, Kris Kristofferson and many others including Bruce Springsteen.

It's just good.
I was led to John's music from an old buddy of his and I enjoyed what I heard. So one of the stories from before John had any albums out, is whenever this buddy would enter into the establishment where John was playing, he would yell, "Play Bob Marley!". John would do his best, but he was just "too white". Consequently, a song came from that and John's buddy unofficially takes some credit for the inspiration of that particular song.
