Album Notes

This music is intended to give churches an alternate version of the Rite 2 Service music but also as a way of providing a way for churches with limited musical resources to have music in their services.

The recording may also be used as a teaching tool to help churches begin a Contemporary Eucharist Choir of their own. It helps to be able to hear a recording of the music you are learning

The recording may be played to provide music as a choir substitute as an addition to a small group of instrumentalists and/or singers. It can also be used to provide music in cases of an outdoor service or a service in a place other than the church building.

The portion of “The Great Thanksgiving” which is said or sung by the priest as well as “The Gifts of God for the people of God…” are without a priest’s voice but have an instrumental “guide track” for the melody. At the end of the CD are versions of these two recordings with the priest’s part sung. These 2 tracks are intended to be learning tools for the priest.
