John Fitzpatrick has been a professional drummer/musician for 25 years playing live and recording in a myriad of cover and original bands in a variety of musical genres. Most recently, John has been creating his own original music on computer loop based programs and midi keyboard. John's music is a fusion of ambient, electronic, new age, and cinematic music. He has opened for national acts such as Ace Frehley (KISS), David Johanson, The Smithereens, Blue Oyster Cult, Tico Torez of BonJovi, Fiona, Patty Smythe and Beaver Brown (Soundtrack Eddie and the Cruisers).

This CD has a little bit of everyting in it. If you sit back, light some candles and close your eyes, you can honestly visualize being somewhere else. The title song Almost Dark, has a sinister tone as though from a horror flick. Surfing the stars actually reminds me of staring at the starry sky on a very clear night. The songs on this CD would be great for a film or TV show. I give this imaginative and quite original sounding CD a double thumbs up.
