Always Falling is the third album from singer-songwriter John Gillespie, founding member of the Chapel Hill folk group Nikki Meets the Hibachi. This colection of ten songs,like its predecessors, False Idols and Eternal Summer, were recorded by the multi-talented Mike Garrigan(Collapsis,Athenaeum). This collection employs sparser arrangements and instrumentation than the previous albums, placing more emphasis on John's plaintive vocal and guitar arrangements. Fans of his work with Nikki Meets the Hibachi will find this reminiscent of his work with that band, and anyone who appreciates thoughtful songwriting will find much to enjoy in these tracks.
