Across the Field of Dreams

Beautiful songwriting, this ten song album is poetic, pulsating and evocative. Soulful, rich vocals mix with sultry slide, rhythm and finger-style guitars, haunting electric guitar fills and sweet backing vocals.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Across the Field of Dreams" takes you there.. It was created over a five month period in John Hill's home recording studio near Ashland, OR. On it he sings and plays slide guitar, rhythm and finger-style guitar. His back up vocals come from two talented locals Adey Garner and Asha Goldstein. Six of these ten songs were written while producing this album. The four others, "Raven", "Prodigal Son", "Bacchanalia" and "Take Me to the River" are mystical and earthy reflections written about ten years ago while living in a one room cabin in the lush countryside near Alpine, OR. "This Train" is an old Gospel standard that John recently re-wrote as a wry commentary of our current state of affairs and what got us here. His songwriting has been described as "lyrical and moving" his playing skilled and expressive. His soulful voice combines with tasteful layering of instruments to form an evocative tapestry for the listeners mind.
