This is a bluesy, mainly improvised suite using electric and acoustic guitars, slide guitar and harmonica. The most spiritual album I have done.

Album Notes

This album is sub-titled "A Suite In Blues" and is the second in a series called "Something For God".

"The Words In Red" song titles should make sense to anyone familiar with the Bible, but this should not be a prerequisite for enjoying the music. This is a very soulful, blues-based album. It probably "moves" more than any of my other work.

Listening recommendations.
1. Preaching the Blues - a bit of full-on guitar shredding here. I hope it still comes across with feeling.
2. Flight To Egypt - plenty of acoustic rhythm, backing blues harp and electric on top.
4. Locusts and Wild Honey - a short solo slide piece.
5. Mary and Martha - a folksy ballad, you probably won't get to hear the middle section unless you visit my site.
6. Watch Over Them - a one-take sparse and soulful improvisation - I love it.
10. The Upper Room - a blues harp feature
12. A Phrophecy Fulfilled - another spontaneous improvisation. This one features one acoustic guitar which sets the mood and direction for three electric guitar parts.

A word about my music.

Technically I am a blues guitarist who is trying to write beautiful music. I try to take people to new musical places, places that are enlightening, meditative and never "dark", there is already enough of that in the world

I would say that it is
- unique, I've yet to come across a similar style
- all original
- has a blues/jazz/soulful, sometimes even a spiritual feel
- contains either solo or overdubbed pieces
- sometimes features blues harp, slide guitar and synth

Most of my albums are instrumental and feature extensive improvisation. I like writing suites, it enables me to focus. I'm more interested in sound than songs. I listen mostly to string quartets, classical and occasionally blues and jazz.

If you are in any way interested in what I was playing in my youth, I have over six hours of my early bands playing blues/jazz/rock in Perth, Western Australia in the 60's and 70's. These are in MP3 format, and available for listening and/or download, at my website.
