John Kakalas is a guitarist / composer / lyricist from Thessaloniki, Greece. John began learning music by the age of 7.He studied 10 years of classical guitar lessons at the music school of Kyriakidis & the Musical Studies Centre at Kos Island. Currently he is taking music theory sessons at the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki. In his teenage years (15-18) he composed & performed in various musical activities and school projects Composed & Performed his first song "Its all over" for the "Passing out Ceremony" of the 2nd Gymnasium of Stavroupoli, Thessaloniki May 1993. Composed and performed music for the presentation of the School Project "Sea and the Greeks", of the 2nd General High School of Stavroupoli, Thessaloniki May 1995. Composed and performed music for the Batik exhibition of the artist Pitsa Kalavatsi at the "AURA" Art Gallery in Thessaloniki, December 1996. Composed and performed music for Shakespear's "Midsummer's Night Dream" played by the 2nd Gymnas
