Only steal from the best! A comprehensive primer for aspiring blues players.

I know Orville has certainly paid his dues, and by the sound of this album, so have his colleagues, John and Grant. For this acoustic folk-blues-pop journeyman's money, these guys have laid down some of the most exquisite and ballsy tracks of acoustic blues and Americana anyone has heard in a while. They're not just some fussy old white men doing museum pieces - they have lived this music for a long time, and it shows. David Lange's clear recording, seemingly devoid of effects and featuring well separated instruments, puts the final gloss on this fine addition to your blues library. Us musicians are a notoriously cheap lot, always wanting to trade CDs rather than spend money, but I was happy to pay retail for this one!

Another roots masterpiece from this talented trio
