John Nanni's "Life's Windows" is an outstanding body of fifteen hook-driven, pop-rock "songs from the heart" that have a fresh, unique style and take you on a superb musical journey.
A passionate songwriter, producer/engineer and musician hailing from the suburbs of Nashville, John Nanni has been playing guitar in bands, writing and performing original music since junior high school where he listened intently to the lyrics of songs and appreciated the beats and melodies of popular music on the radio. That same youthful passion for emotionally rich music lies deep in the soul of "Life's Windows".
Influenced by a variety of groups from the smooth southern sounds of the Allman Brothers to the glory of the Beatles to the jazz rock fusion of Steely Dan, along with a growing appreciation for the country influences of the Eagles, America, and Johnny Cash, Nanni has amalgamated a crisp, rock sound that is uniquely his own.
Moving to Music City in 1996, Nanni hit the ground running his song wares up and down Music Row when he realized that it was just as important to express his own creativity and be true to his roots as a performing songwriter/artist. "Life's Windows" was born out of that desire to communicate musically and for the love of song making, recording, engineering and learning more about the record business in general.
Nanni hooked up with his brilliant co-producer, Henry Beckett (a phenomenal arranger and composer with a degree from Harvard to boot) and envisioned and recorded the project. Half of the rhythm tracks were recorded in Pensacola, Florida at Lucky Kelson's Lucky K Studio. The other rhythm tracks and overdubs were done at Beckett Audio in Nashville, with additional overdubs at Three Creeks Music in Franklin, TN.
Beckett and Nanni recorded with friends and highly acclaimed session musicians and singers including Gary Talley (The Box Tops), Lance Doss (John Cale Band), Tab Laven (Art Garfunkel), Jonell Mosser (Hope Floats), John Foster (Beach Boys), Bob Hatter (Keith Anderson), Peter Young (Loretta Lynn), Michael Wheeler (Wildwood), Jimmy Bowland (Temptations), Michael Fair (Gregg Allman), Roy Agee (Steve Cropper) and more.
Nanni spent several months cutting the lead and background vocals in his own studio and at Beckett Audio. Once the tracks were completely recorded, Nanni took the Pro Tools helm and mixed all 15 songs. Grammy Award winning engineer, Richard Dodd (Tom Petty, George Harrison, Sheryl Crow) put the finishing touches of mastering on the project.
Since the release of "Life's Windows", Nanni has been getting strong, positive reactions at live performances and from listeners around the world for all fifteen reality-based, cowritten songs. John Nanni's "Life's Windows" is made available by Three Creeks Music, Franklin, TN.
