I don't know why this page gets hit more than my other cd's. But this is really old stuff. Check Out "Lay Low" cd for more current and up to day hip hop by Johnny Afro.
Enjoy the description of this older cd below:
This is the perfect hip hop cd for it's blend of old school style and songwriting evident. Sometimes Johnny Afro goes from amazing to controversial.
A Team: is just that the leading scorer of this album. It features an electro bassline with a dr rhythm still drum machine programmed and tuned to perfection. This one will take you back if you're an old schooler and will give you that retro feeling if you're a youngster. It's filled with energy and a tight flow despite it being an uptempo track around 127 bpm
Last Chance: This impressive groove glides to the funk. The drums hit with facinating flavor of eerie background vocal sounds. Nevertheless the track is a bit soothing and facilitates yoga type breathing and motion. This is sure to be a favorite of many.
The Bighter: reaking of old school hip hop flavor. The concepts, delivery, and liguistics are simple marvelous. Johnny Afro's flow is thought provoking and touches your mind to think outside the box. If you can follow deep lyrics this solid masterpiece of a cd is definetly for you.
I really like the artwork because it reminds and hints at the elements of hip hop culture. Afro comes off with class and still has a hip hop vibe. The girl on cover is not scantly clad, so femininity is not being exploited. This is balanced work. Check the scales. This album was produced during the libra times. The sun was in libra and the writing is just and prolific.
