Album Notes

I know, I know.....

Some of you are saying" Johnny Fabulous, Hmm. Just who does he think he is?"

Good question. The thing is, and I hate to break the news to you but, I actually think I'm Johnny Fabulous. I really do. Kind of nutty, isn't it? Having said that, I think we can agree that it is clear I'm a troubled person.

But wait, if that wasn't disturbing enough, check this out......If I didn't think I am Johnny Fabulous, Why would there be a Johnny Fabulous Greatest Hits CD? Therefore, I must be right and am indeed Johnny Fabulous. Are you with me so far? Would we even be thinking, talking or reading about Johnny Fabulous if I wasn't indeed Johnny Fabulous? I think not. Or, rather, I think so. Not. Wait, are you confused yet?

What's the old saying? "I think therefore I am." Or something like that.

So, I'm Johnny Fabulous and thanks for checking out my CD. I've been a big fan of Soul, Swing, Blues and Jazz since I was "Little Johnny Fabulous"(I was never "Little")and have assembled a collection of my best recordings covering all these styles in this Greatest Hits package.

I'll take Sinatra any day of the week, but I also love Ray Charles and The Beatles as well and pay tribute to all of them in my songs. Take a listen, songs like "Missin' Mary" and "Steppin' Stone" will stay with you and are well worth hearing. Both versions of "Until Monterey" are beautiful and will take you directly to 17-mile drive. Listen, I like the sultry and soulful, but I also like silly too, and it's all here in this CD. Enjoy.........

Truly Fabulous - It certainly Brings Me Pleasure

From the first piano riff and the lyrics "I wanna know what brings you pleasure" until the plaintive "baby you don't know me" Johnny Fabulous Greatest Hits CD is truly fabulous. I found myself humming and singing it as I go about my day. I sent this CD to a friend and he said that he enjoyed it immensely and that it sounds like a nice piece of music to listen to relaxing comfortably with a good friend.

The Fab Man is a star on the Central Coast

Johnny Fabulous' greatest hits makes you swear you've heard these songs before, catchy hooks and a lot of fun. The ballads are deep and I believe him when he says he's missing Mary! I've been hearing these songs for years, and by now my friends and I know almost all the words and the melodies and sing along with them very loudly whenever we have a chance to catch Mr. Fab live. He is a must-see live performance artist. Sometimes just listening isn't enough and I highly recommend catching a live performance. In May 2004 he's at Zelda's in Capitola, California on Thursday nights I believe. See you there.
