Album Notes

I first did this project IN 2002. With there being pretty much a monopoly with there being only four major music labels (Sony, Uiversal, EMI and Warner Bros.) IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO GET ANYWHERE....So...I decided to start my own internet record label.
My CD sounds like POP/RETRO R&B ( "U + Me = Luv" and "A.S.A.P") older/RAGAE NEW WAVE ROCK & ROLL ( "Born Ta'
Steal My Heart Away" and "U Got What It Takes 2) With a few ballads thrown in ( "So Easy Ta' Luv" and "Give Me Your Love Babe" and "Better Times") That I get to sing out a little bit on and also a few 90's TYPE CONTEMPORARY Country titles aswell ( "Crime Doesn't Pay" and "From The Beginning") I don't only do one genre of music.It is like creative roots rock was at one time.
I produced the whole project (Exept for "Better Times" that was co-produced with a friend of mine who's name is Ron Alley) and wrote/co-wrote all of the songs as well as singing most of the harmony parts myself.
The record label that I have started is called.
"GOINGS MY WAY RECORDS". This album was inspired by the variety of music that I played throughout my years as A professional musician... FROM CHUCK BERRY TO LITTLE RICHARD..THE BEATLES TO STEALY DAN AND JAMES BROWN TO WILSON PICKET, DON HENLEY TO STEVIE WINWOOD DAVE EDMUNDS AND DELBERT MCLINTON, TO BRIAN WILSON AND TODD RUNDGREN TO THE EAGLES AND RESTLESS HEART AND A SHANIA TWAIN TYPE LYRIC AND OF COURSE THE ROLLING STONES. Also some New Wave 80's Artist's like DIRE SRAITS,THE PRETENDRES, THE CARS, AND THE POLICE (I use A little NEW WAVE ROCK RAGAE now and then too in songs like "U GOT WHAT IT TAKES 2" AND "BORN TA STEAL MY HEART AWAY" and also PRINCE, HUEY LEWIS
for an 80's type sound and Shania Twain for a lyric style....
I was A professional drummer for several years.. Spending 6 years in the San Fransico Bay Area as well as traveling on the road throughout the upper Midwestern United States. I am also A little brother to JIMMY GOINGS OF SANTA ESMERELDA FAME, (he was one of the featured lead singers on that project, the album called "ANOTHER CHA CHA" was his biggest seller). I am also an uncle to GENEVEIVE GOINGS who does THE CHOO CHOO SOUL videos on the DISNEY CHANNEL (she has a brand new album out for kids called........ CHOO CHOO SOUL so check it out, she also has a pop R&B duo called Legato on the internet so check them out as well). I AM ALSO A BI-POLAR PERSON (I say this because if I were to have some success the press would be all over me about it so I am getting it out in the open now). I am on disability and living on a fixed income becauase I am Bi-Polar, I had a few episodes because I quit taking my medication....BAD IDEA... I thought I didn't need it anymore. (I didn't remember the episodes for years but now I remember bits and pieces of them, they were very scary) but do to medication and and help from my doctors I have come to terms with it and I ALWAYS take my MEDS.
This album is more of a studio effort rather than a live approach (it is all about the recorded sound and the parts!!!) I am more of an idea man and I use several different players on the tracks besides myself, I also play several of the instruments myself! (On the song "We Got Luvin' I play them all, It is a tribute to the BEATLES and BRIAN WILSON). I HAVE ALSO WRITTEN A SCREENPLAY, A ROMANTIC COMEDY, It's the same old thing yet different and original But still the same old thing but unique, (If You Know What I Mean!!!)
