"Love, etc..."
Terrific sophomore effort that's a very charming and catchy and jangly little roots pop thing! He has a true knack for catchy melody and memorable hooks (a lot of which feature some nice vocal harmonies) that pay homage to a childhood spent continuously exploring the works of The Beatles (see "Minute" for proof), Cheap Trick, Pink Floyd, and Queen to name a few. Well done, my lad! Heck, he learned the drums with AC/DC’s “Highway To Hell” album and used his many other musical inspirations to teach himself to play the guitar and sing as well! "This is upbeat pop falling somewhere between George Harrison, Tom Petty and Brian Jay Cline. The opener "Beautiful Friend" is reminiscent of "If I Needed Someone"; the breezy melody of "Minute" is another highlight, as well as the roots rock of "Sweet Dreams' - AbsolutePowerPop.blogspot.com The haunting "Fallen Down" is another standout! "Beautiful Friend", and "Heartbeat" sound like long lost Dwight Twilley/Phil Seymour penned songs! EXCELLENT!!!
